Jonathan Ng

Head of Product & Design at Bifrost AI, a Sequoia-backed deep tech startup. I took our first product from concept through PMF to seven-figure ARR, with customers including NASA, Anduril, and NTT DATA.

I love building zero-to-one products for hard technical markets. I work across product strategy, design, customers, and engineering to find what is blocking progress and remove it.

Principles for building

  • Aggressively attack bottlenecks.
  • Keep your loops small and close them fast.
  • Speed without direction is motion, not progress.
  • Less think, more do.
  • Expect Dunning-Kruger and accelerate through it.
  • Deep care is the job.
  • Be good to your mentors.
  • Take your users seriously, but not literally.
  • Optimise for the human, not the rules.
  • Useful, then different, then daily.
  • Show then tell.
  • Master the material you’re working with.
  • Great design has nothing left to remove.
  • Magic is willing to work harder than what people think is worth.
  • The world around you was created by people no smarter than you.

What I’ve built

Bifrost AI

Building eval infrastructure for physical AI

I joined as the founding PM, designed our first product, and took it from concept to PMF to seven-figure ARR. I built the repeatable process for selling it and led pricing across three enterprise renewals, tripling annual contract value.

Today, I’m building simulation and evaluation infrastructure that helps robotics teams benchmark policies and world models, understand failures, and iterate faster.

Before

Computational design and Architecture

I have a master’s with distinction from Harvard University GSD. Previously, I worked at the Norman Foster Foundation and Foster + Partners on industrial robotics, 1:1-scale 3D-printed building prototypes, and large-scale building systems.

I contributed to built projects spanning robotics, environmental simulation, and digital fabrication, including the Future of Us Pavilion, now a national landmark, and AirMesh, named Design of the Year at the President’s Design Award. My work has been exhibited at the Harvard Druker Design Gallery.

Founding and building Praxis+

I founded Praxis+, a multidisciplinary team that built phygital public installations from concept through fabrication and deployment. We generated five-figure contract revenue and reached more than one million visitors. Our work was awarded a Singapore Design Award and a Crowbar Award, and has been exhibited at the National Design Centre, National Museum of Singapore, and Singapore Night Festival.
